African tulips floating in a pool were my inspiration for a series of paintings. During the sixteen years that I lived in Jamaica West Indies, views such as this afforded me an opportunity to interplay colors, light and shadows with a somewhat abstract approach.
I did this work on acid-free age-resistant heavy painting paper 17.5 inches x 23.5 inches in size using oil pigment sticks.
The work is signed in the lower right corner, dated on the back, and is double matted and framed behind glass. The dark red matting is 25 inches x 31.5 inches and the grey metal frame is 27.75 inches x 33.5 inches x 0.75 inch deep.
