ART RELATED BACKGROUND – Landscape Paintings: Exhibitions of MERRILEE DRAKULICH

An artist painting landscapes and seascapes in oil on canvas and oil pastels on paper for over twenty-five years.  Originally from Pennsylvania and educated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts, she painted in Jamaica, West Indies for 16 years.  Also during that time and since then, she was an instructor of art and exhibited her works regularly throughout the years.  In 1991 and again in 1994, she was invited by Atkins Fine Arts to paint the landscape of the Auvergne Region in France.  After returning again to live and paint in Pennsylvania, she resided during 2001 in Tokyo, where she gathered new inspiration for a series of paintings based on her experiences living in Japan.
